About this audiobook

Penguin presents the audio download edition of Turtles All the Way Down by John Green, read by Kate Rudd.

Sixteen-year-old Aza never intended to pursue the mystery of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett, but there's a hundred thousand dollar reward at stake and her Best and Most Fearless Friend, Daisy, is eager to investigate. So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Russell Pickett's son, Davis.

Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.

In his long-awaited return, John Green, the acclaimed, award-winning author of Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars, shares Aza's story with shattering, unflinching clarity in this brilliant novel of love, resilience, and the power of lifelong friendship.

I have a unique and at times uncomfortable nostalgia with the plot of turltes all the way down. I never thought a book would capture something that I acutally experienced (from my OCD and chronic anxiety to my relationship with a ludicrously wealthy "step-son" that was left nothing when his step-father skipped town). An incredibly accurate depiction of so many of the feelings and thoughts I had at the time and the experiences I witnessed. Mr Green, I know this was not written about or form me, but this story feels like a part of me and reminds me of how far I've come to be where I am now. Thank you for giving me a piece of literature that allows me to look back on the past and recognise my (slow yet) powerful journey of personal development. You're a masterful writer and I love the openness and honesty in your work - particularly when it comes to mental health.
