In this truly remarkable collection of maritime tales, Jon Tucker brings humour and insight into the lifestyle which he and his red-haired bride began, as teenagers, when they set out to build the traditional ocean-going ketch that was to become their home for decades (along with their expanding family of five adventurous sons).
Jon Tucker is a Kiwi teacher-turned-adventurer whose traditional yacht is the only home he and his wife Barbara owned for most of their lives. For two decades they and their five sons extensively sailed the waters of New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific. Their accumulated experiences have provided Jon with sufficient material for seven books including this collection of autobiographical short stories. The couple currently divide their time between New Zealand and Tasmania.
