About this audiobook

She was my obsession. I was her destruction. Beth: My life is not my own. I belong to the family. Every step I make is dictated. Until him. Skull. The only man I’ve ever loved. The only man I will ever love. His touch inflames me. I can’t stay away—even if I should. I gave him my body and my heart. To keep him safe, I will sell my soul to the devil. The lies began with our hello. Now, I’m captured by them. Skull: There’s an animal in me that I keep hidden. Beth calls to him. She tempts the monster and lures him to the surface. I’m obsessed with her. I can’t stay away, even when doing so puts my entire club in danger. Her blood is on my hands. I formed her to fit only me. I was her first and if I have to kill everyone in our way. So be it. I will be her last. She is mine. Warning! Cliffhanger ahead. This book will end in a cliffhanger and continue with Craved, Burned and Released

Audiobook: Narrators – Morgan Tyler and Leo Barnabas While I enjoyed both of these narrators, I have to give extreme compliments to Leo Barnabas’ performance as Skull. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to an audiobook where a narrator actually performed the part and that is exactly what it felt like here. There was so much passion, anger and angst that I was completely blown away by it. Admittedly, there was a time or two where it might have been too much but those moments were so few and far between that they were easy to forgive because everything else was outstanding. I saw the cover of this audiobook, read the blurb and purchased. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of cliffhangers and the fact that this ended in one stole any enjoyment I had from the story. I wish I had been warned. I liked Beth and Skull and the fact that he was so possessive and protective of her. The brothers added to my enjoyment as well. This is a rather gritty MC story that doesn’t try to make them anything than what they are. I was a bit aggravated at Beth for having not simply communicated something with Skull at some point when danger was imminent, but I would have gotten over that had it not been for the cliffie. I checked out what the next book of their story is and it appears to be a different couple and yet the continuation of this one. That only adds to my aggravation of the cliffhanger surprise. I would LOVE to know Beast’s story but as I doubt very much that I’ll be going on to book 2 here, I suspect I won’t be listening to his either. Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but do not surprise me with an incomplete story!
