关于此有声读物

Remember what it was like to see the world with the curious eyes of innocence? KK Undercover Mystery: The Cookie Caper is a remarkable tale that reminds us how cool it was to be a kid. The author’s lighthearted message of perseverance and loyalty appeals to people of all ages; you don’t have to be a kid to smile at these pages. The story will touch your heart, and the characters will imprint themselves in your mind.

The story introduces readers to KaSandra Dang—KK to her friends—a handicapable fourth-grader with a secret. She and her two closest friends, Winifred and Claire, have teamed up with Daniel, the new kid in school, to solve neighborhood mysteries for a supersecret government organization called Secret Agents for Moms.

In The Cookie Caper, KK and her colorful crew of grade school sleuths tackle the mystery of disappearing student lunches plaguing dear old Deer Canyon Elementary School. The team hatches a plan to hunt and trap the “Lunchito Bandito” in a whirlwind investigation that will involve teachers, family members, and every resource at their disposal. Together they gather clues and formulate a course of action that leads to the unmasking of this super-hungry fiend and to a surprise ending that will make you smile. You will fall in love with these delightful characters.

作者简介

Nicholas Sheridan Stanton, after a thirty-year career in the aerospace industry, is now a writer by choice and spends his time observing and living life as fully as possible. His books include The Migrant, The Gumshoe Diaries, and the KK Undercover Mystery series for children.

KaSandra-TrucHan-Dang (1999–2010), a ten-year-old from San Diego, was the inspiration and coauthor of the KK Undercover Mystery series. Together, she and her stepfather Nicholas created the storyline and assembled the cast while she battled cancer in 2009. She was an amazing and loving little girl, who touched more lives in ten short years than most people do in ten times that amount of time. It is our hope that through these stories kids of all ages will get a glimpse of who she was, and that KaSandra’s vibrant spirit and incredible capacity for love will live on in the hearts and imaginations of those who enjoy them.

Zoë Navapanich was born in San Diego, California. She’s been reading aloud since she first picked up a book at age three. She loves reading, writing, camping, and art. In April of 2010, Zoë and a group of San Diego fifth graders completed a 280 mile bicycle journey across Southern California, from the Arizona border to the Pacific Ocean. Many of them, including Zoë, dedicated their ride to KaSandra Dang, their dear friend.
