Felicity and Jay are roommates with benefits. Jay, especially, has not been a one-woman man, although he now professes that is what he wants with Felicity. Jay has a former friend who lives nearby. He's still fuming over the fact a friend stole Jay's girlfriend when they were teenagers ... and he's dragging Felicity into a plan he has for revenge. As Jay becomes more unstable and manipulative, Felicity becomes more concerned. Jay has secrets ... and so does someone else. Someone who will do anything for him ...anything at all. This is the first in a trilogy, so be prepared for cliff hangers. The chapters alternate between Jay's past and is happening today. The past is horrifying and the present even worse. The main characters are finely drawn and all have flaws/issues Felicity is vulnerable and easily talked into doing things no normal person would. Jay is just plain evil. Anything for Him had a real impact on me. The characters are so real that I found myself thinking about them even when I wasn't reading the book. I felt genuine fear, excitement, hope and sadness for them as I read chapter after chapter of this rollercoaster of a story. Not many books stick with me for as long as this one has - If you want an exciting book that also makes you feel something, then you won't be disappointed, but be warned - once you enter Jay's world you won't be able to leave, even after you put the book down!
