If this book were a TV episode, I'd say this would be a "filler" episode because, lore wise, not much happened except the Anita/JC dynamic. I also didn't care much for the narrator's Larry voice. Yeah, he's in this book big time while Edward isn't. I'd say this would be a skippable book, but if you're a big Anita Blake fan, don't.
