They understood that the target of the operation wasn't just Trump, but rather the institutions that sustain our republic. A country where operatives use the intelligence and security services to protect their privileges by spying on Americans, coordinating with the press, and using extra-constitutional means to undermine an election then undo a presidency is more like the third world than the republic envisioned by the founding fathers.

Thank God for brave and honest men willing to tell the truth; despite knowing the dangers to their lives, their careers and the attacks on their reputations. It's a David vs. Goliath story that's has played out in real time. We've seen how powerful and destructive government-controlled media has become against their enemy. "The Trump-effect" has exposed the deep underbelly of the vast corruption in every area of our nation in every branch of government and in every industry.

The truth about actual facts the people don't know. Only fair to show how a president that made the US economy great and fulfilled his promises was condemned by the opposing party. People need a president that is tough enough to bring the economy up, yet they get deranged over his attitude. I will sacrifice attitude for a strong country were promises were kept. I'm sure the left will give this a bad review without even reading/listening to the book. Maybe they should look at the facts shown

Really important book with actual facts, background, and how these characters all fit together in this unprecedented attempt to bring down an elected President. Not for those closed minded, strictly partisan pushers regardless of right or wrong, who are not seeking truth and facts, only for Americans who truly want to understand how, who and why this deception was perpetrated against the wishes of the American people.

Lee Smith is a veteran journalist whose work appears in Tablet, Real Clear Investigations and The Federalist. He's worked in media for thirty years, writing about national politics, foreign policy, and the press. Smith reported from the Middle East for a decade after the 9/11 attacks and wrote the critically acclaimed The Strong Horse: Power, Politics, and the Clash of Arab Civilizations.
