As the end of the twentieth century nears, an asteroid is hurtling toward Earth. When it hits, the impact will result in the end of all life on the planet.
Ambassador Spock travels back in time to subtly warn Earth's inhabitants of impending doom while calling into question humanity's priorities. However, before the truth is told, the all-powerful being Q appears and reminds Spock that he is prohibited from interfering in Earth's history. Besides, Q doesn't see mankind as something worth saving.
This initial encounter between the two legendary characters explodes into a battle of wits as Spock cleverly befuddles Q with his own words. As barbs are exchanged, and humanity's flaws and wonders are laid bare, Spock's logic just may convince Q that humans are indeed a species worthy of salvation, but will he be too late?

This review is written in late 2024. It is a joy to hear both Nimoy and de Lancie performing their respective characters. Despite the date of the original performance, what is said concerning humanity is still relevant today (unfortunately). Love hearing the audience reaction in the background. I'm going to keep my eye out there for that asteroid! Well worth it! On the media download and technical aspect, a little more description on what chapter 1 and 2 are would be nice.

John de Lancie brought Q to life in the very first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation and has since appeared as Q in numerous episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Voyager®. In addition, he has starred on such series as Legend and Days of our Lives. He has also collaborated with author Peter David on Q's recent "autobiography", I, Q.
