Janna is a college sophomore, who hunts monsters and demons, et cetera, yada yada. For fun, for profit, for... well, who the heck knows. Her family trained her up for it. Someone's gotta do it, right? 

Hetty's her sidekick, along with the rest of the crew. Hetty isn't really psychologically equipped to be anyone's sidekick. Also, she's in love with Janna. This is a problem.

And when the monsters don't show up on a midnight hunt, they've got real problems. They might have to actually talk about their feelings...
