In the Life-study of Daniel, Witness Lee shows that book of Daniel reveals that Israel and human government are for Christ. Christ is the centrality and the universality of God’s move, and this move is intrinsically involved with Israel and the Gentile government.
In the Life-study of the minor prophets, Witness Lee leads the reader to see that the burden of the minor prophets concern the coming forth from Bethlehem the Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from the days of eternity (Micah 5:2); The Son of Man being in the heart of the earth three days and three nights (implying resurrection) for the salvation of God to all the sinners (Jonah 1:17; 2:10; Matt. 12:40-41); Christ being the Desire of all nations and His coming as the Sun of righteousness with healing in His wings (Hag. 2:7; Mal. 4:2); and Christ dwelling in the holy mountain of Zion, to be a shelter and a stronghold to Israel, and rule among them from Jerusalem (Joel 3:16-17; Micah 4:7).

Born in 1905 in northern China, Witness Lee was raised in a Christian family and educated in English-speaking schools. At the age of 19 he believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and consecrated himself to preach the gospel. Early in his service, Witness Lee met Watchman Nee and began to labor together with him. In 1949 Witness Lee was sent by Watchman Nee to Taiwan to ensure that the things delivered to them by the Lord would be preserved. In 1962 Witness Lee came to the United States and began to minister here. He ministered in weekly conferences, delivering several thousand spoken messages until 1997. He gave his last public conference in February 1997 at the age of 91. His major work, Life-Study of the Bible, comprises over 25,000 pages of commentary on every book of the Bible from the perspective of the believers' enjoyment and experience of God's divine life in Christ through the Spirit.
