About this audiobook

Even with a degree in psychology and a keen ability to read people, security specialist Bree Graves can’t seem to get a bead on her boss. There was a time she thought she had him figured out but she’d been wrong. Still, she loves her job with PASS and her team has become her family. However, she doesn’t realize how much she needs them until her latest assignment puts her on the radar of a dangerous stalker.

For Yanis Mazur the safety of his PASS team is paramount. Even if that means sacrificing his personal life. Not only did he spend years building his security firm, but also the shield protecting his emotions. Yet when the one person who could breach his walls goes missing during an assignment he sent her on, he’s willing to risk both his business and his heart to get her back.

A victim of obsession, betrayal, and violence, Bree has no choice but to put her faith in the man who almost broke her.

I am still unclear on the why this couple needed a second chance, as they never should have been apart to begin with, but I did appreciate they were leaving the past there and moving forward. Another good and twisty mystery to be solved!

Audiobook: Narrators - Tanya Eby & Rock Engle What a great narration! This is such an exciting story with lots of drama and action as well as deep human emotion. Both Ms. Ebay and Mr. Engle brought all of this to life using the talent of their voices. And holy heck, what a talent! I loved every bit of it. Pure perfection. I couldn’t stop listening! I’ve been impatient to get Yanis’ story and was so excited when I finally had it in my hands. Wow, he was just as incredible as I knew he would be. With protective instincts that totally ring my bell, he was always careful not to overstep with Bree as she was more than capable of protecting herself. However, this has lots of opportunities for him to take care of her which fed even more of my alpha loving heart. Bree was a tough, independent heroine that was able to take care of herself in pretty much any situation. I worried that she might be too tough for my liking. The kind of tough that would make her feel unapproachable and difficult to relate to. Not so. She had a soft heart that had been injured but she was willing to work to get past her issues. Because Yanis respected her talents, she never had to battle him to have her way. There were no too stupid to live moments for this heroine. This is a fast paced story filled with so much action, danger and drama. This mystery is interlaced with events from previous books in the series so it might be best to read them first. However, it would not be difficult to follow along if you have not. The plot intricately weaves itself around the past even as it pulls the reader into a new situation that is rife with danger. One by one things were gradually revealed forcing me to continue listening long after I would have normally stopped. I loved how this had all the steam and smexiness that I enjoy in my romance, along with the suspense that I crave.
