About the author
M. Susan Lindee is Janice and Julian Bers Professor of History and Sociology of Science at the University of Pennsylvania. A Guggenheim Fellow, she is the author of Suffering Made Real and Moments of Truth in Genetic Medicine and coauthor of The DNA Mystique.
Actress Kirsten Potter has performed on stage, film, and television, including roles on Medium, Bones, and Judging Amy. Her narrations have won AudioFile Earphones Awards, and she earned an Audie nomination for her reading of Rise Again by Ben Tripp.
