This is the second book in the recently launched From the House of Harper series which will include collections of classic Indian tales. The first book in the series was a collection of the Panchatantra stories, A Basketful of Animal Tales.

Author, poet and translator, Deepa Agarwal writes for both children and adults. She received the N.C.E.R.T. National Award for Children's Literature in 1993 for her picture book Ashok's New Friends.
