About the author

Margaret Clark was born in Geelong, Victoria in 1942. She has worked as a primary teacher, pre-school director, university lecturer and alcohol and drug educator with the Victorian Health Department. These various jobs have given her great insight into the lives of children and teenagers. She has a Bachelor of Education, a Masters degree, and a Doctorate in Education. She has written books under the name M. D. Clark, Margaret D. Clark and Lee Striker. With over one hundred books about relationships, friendships, and social issues under the guise of humour, Margaret's books have become very popular with young readers.

Mark Mitchell is undoubtedly one of Australia's finest performers, actors and comedians. The success of The Comedy Company brought Mark Mitchell larger than life into the homes of all Australians with his portrayal of the Greek fruiterer Con. Mark's gift and love of character portrayals led him to secure many roles in television shows including Lift Off, Round the Twist, Sword of Honour, Willing and Abel and Anzacs. Mark's movie credits include Fallout, Ground Zero, Wills and Burke, Blonde and On the Beach.
