So many reasons I loved this story Mariah Stone’s second book in her time travel series Called By A Highlander made for a very enjoyable read / listen. The narrators made the characters come alive, loved listening to them. Plenty of action in this book to keep you enthralled. Marjorie was no wall flower, she is now a strong and powerful warrior woman, in charge and defending her castle. Konnor, being a US Marine from the 21st century, was a perfect match for her and with his Marine experience a great protector of the castle too. Loved the pairs clashes and chemistry. A male going back in time was refreshing to read about. The ending was different from what I expected but so fitting. Especially like the two epilogues. When I love a book and invest in the story, for it to just end makes me wonder - what’s next. It’s great to know a bit more at the conclusion of a well written story and Mariah did just that. I was given a review copy of this audiobook.
