About this audiobook

Mark Twain is called sometimes “the father of American literature”. He was a journalist, lecturer, boat pilot, inventor and, of course, writer. His wide life experience allowed him to depict different aspects of life very realistically. Millions of children and adults worldwide still read his books and are fond of them.

The most famous writings are The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. This book became a national treasure. But there are also many worthwhile tales by Twain.

One of them is "Hunting the Deceitful Turkey". This is a boyhood story about a guy trying to catch the deceitful turkey. His hunting became funnily wrong. Clever turkey pretended she was wounded and he believed her. He couldn’t even imagine she was making a fool of him. The game was endless, but eventually he left empty-handed. This short story is very easy and quick.

If the Thanksgiving Day is coming and you want to have an appropriate mood – this book is what you have been looking for.

A SmartTouch Media production.

The reader ruins the experience of this audiobook. I expected someone folksy, but the reader is a woman with an Eastern European accent and no rhythm or flow. Whatever charm and humor Twain put into this tale is stripped away by a mismatched reader.
