I'm not quite sure Why this author doesn't just write in his own language ! To maintain having books translated into English and then have them read by, one assumes, a pal or FOAF who "speaks english great!" is possibly doing a great disservice to the Author ! Audio Books are a "listening experience" beyond listening to Radio or Podcasts, in that the "Listening Reader" usually isolates themselves with earphones. This makes it essential for the Narrator to be almost Unintrusive, creating a "space" wherein the "Listening Reader" can "project" images created by the written word! The usual exception to this "rule" is when the narrator is a skilled Actor (Radio, Animation and Theatre actors are - usually! - the Best!) Listening to a well-acted book narration is a Great experience – when done well. Anything Else is practically an "assault on the senses" – Hearing in this case – and is one of the fastest ways to kill an author's career ! So, Not For Me in Any Form!! 😮‍💨☘️POD🍀🤯
