About this audiobook

Blissful in Bora Bora . . . Kline and Georgia Brooks are fresh off their wedding and ready to indulge in the honeymoon of a lifetime. Luxurious and private, their overwater bungalow in the South Pacific is the perfect backdrop for fun, sun, and enough sexiness to necessitate a dip in the clear water to cool down. But marriage means more, and Kline and Georgia may have to find a different way to handle the heat. Nowhere near normal in New York . . . Thatcher Kelly loves wild women, and Cassie Phillips is about as wild as they come. Put them together and they are a match made in chaos. Bound by cat-sitting responsibilities, Cass and Thatch have to find a way to right their mistakes-and wade through the dense cloud of sexual tension that seems to suffocate the room whenever they're together. Will they be able to resist? And more importantly, will Walter be okay? Contains mature themes.

4 stars — So I listened to this one like a month ago, and wrote some preliminary thoughts, and then just failed to get back to this review. So it’s not going to be thorough…you have been warned. I fell in love with both the author(s) and the narrators for Georgie and Kline in book 1 (Tapping the Billionaire), and so I was quite excited to dive into this interim novella on audio. But I will admit, I didn’t love the narrators for Thatch and Cassie quite as much…I’m not sure why, nothing at all particularly wrong with them, just a personal taste thing. It’s funny how we inevitably bring our own assumptions and prejudices into things… Like, he just didn’t sound like Thatch to me. Too…blase? I expected a deeper voice too, which is odd, I know. And Ms. York had almost the barest hint of a lisp…or there was some affectation to her voice that kept distracting me. As such, I will likely read the next book instead of listen. Again, the actual narration was pretty good…just some odd pauses here and there. It was all me (not you, it’s me right? *rolls eyes*). As for the story, it was actually super fun, and had some great funny moments. I just might not have been in the right mood all the time, as I noticed I was more easily distracted. I think I was a bit burned out after my big rush of reading in the early part of the year, you know? Like Georgie’s over the top reactions on the honeymoon were almost too much for me…but mostly amusing. I loved Georgie and Kline’s parts the most…those two just kill me. I love every time they each call each other baby, or when Kline calls Georgie Benny. I also loved that we got to see an extended epilogue, but there was also some other wrap up conflicts to their story…like surrounding her new job and stuff. It wasn’t all just epilogue-y happiness. I think it’s going to take me a bit longer to warm up to Thatcher and Cassie. They’re both amusing characters, but they’re not necessarily ones I’m immediately drawn to. But I am super intrigued to learn more about them. I enjoyed that they were each getting under the other’s skin. I’m just not used to the boldness and crassness….but I think it will grow on me. It’s funny how as readers/humans we’re all drawn to different things, eh? So yeah. Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining interlude! Definitely has me intrigued for the next book!
