this audiobook was done in a raw and visual way by Michael F himself. Michael left the listener mentally seeing and feeling what he went through before, during and after the riot on the capital. It is a book or audio book worth reading/listening to.

Michael Fanone is a true American Hero. He and all the police officers that didn't scare off and stood their ground have unbelievable bravery. I am so sorry for what transpired afterwards. But I am glad you decided to speak out instead of cowering and hiding the truth you and the other officers endured. Thank you.

About the author
Michael Fanone served as a Metropolitan Police Department Officer assigned to the First District for twenty years. Working briefly as a patrol officer and then spending the majority of his career as a vice investigator in various small mission units, Fanone participated in over 2,000 arrests for violent crimes and narcotics trafficking, served as a special task force officer for the FBI, ATF, and DEA, and earned more than three dozen commendations for his work. Fanone currently serves as an analyst for CNN, a security consultant, and a firearms instructor. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
John Shiffman is an investigative reporter for Reuters. He worked as a staff writer at The Philadelphia Inquirer from 2003 to 2011, where he was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He is the author of Operation Shakespeare and with former FBI agent Robert Wittman, he coauthored Priceless, a New York Times bestseller published in nine languages. He is a lawyer and lives near Washington, DC.
