I love Sam and Annabelle and this book, the 4th in the series, did not disappoint! I love how much Annabelle loves Christmas and her eccentric personality. Unfortunately, the most wonderful time of the year is not holly and jolly. Time for Sam and Annabelle to join forces with Jordan (especially since the flu takes out the sheriff's department) and help him solve a murder. I listened to the audiobook on Spotify and it was excellent and easy to follow along.

This is the third book in the Heywood Herbalist Cozy Mysteries Series, a Small Town Cozy Mystery. I like this series! We follow Samantha's sleuthing, along with Annabelle and Jordan, in this small town murder mystery. The plot is well crafted, and interesting. I liked the intrigue, and the twists and turns. The supporting characters are intriguing. Nicole Scott did a great job bringing these characters, and this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Thyme and Trouble.

I think this book started badly as I just couldn't gel with the narrator. I found her voice flat and boring, so I struggled to get into the book from the beginning. Sadly, my opinion didn't improve any as we made our way through the story either. I found the whole storyline so far fetched that it was verging on the ridiculous. I know fiction is just that, but I like the narratives to be believable in the books that I read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout
