About this audiobook

This heart-wrenching read about friendship, love, and loss tells the story of a woman grieving the death of her best friend and learning to embrace a future she never imagined—perfect for fans of Rebecca Serle and Josie Silver.

The day Scarlett dies, her hopes and dreams for the future die with her . . . or so she thinks. Because she’s still here—wherever here is—watching the ripple effect of her death on the lives of those she loved the most. She’d do anything to go back and join the living.

Evie can’t imagine life without her best friend, Scarlett, and she certainly doesn’t want to forgive Nate, the man she blames for her death. Yet Nate keeps showing up in her life—so charming and outgoing, just like Scarlett—when all Evie wants is to retreat from the world.

But Evie’s not alone. Scarlett is still by her side, even as she wrestles with the choices that led to that fateful day. Knowing what she knows now, would Scarlett go back and alter the events that changed their lives forever?

A heartbreaking beautiful novel of a sisters-like friendship that tragically ends. One woman struggles with grief and a debilitating illness. The deceased woman drifts in and out of the present and past memories causing her to reflect on her life. Her running commentary on her friend’s life is insightful as she deals with her life and progression after death. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

About the author

Becky Hunter grew up in Berkshire, UK, and has loved reading since before she can remember. After studying social sciences at Cambridge University, this love of reading led her to a career in publishing, where she worked as a book publicist in London for several years before taking a career break and moving to Mozambique to volunteer with horses. It was here that she decided to give writing a proper go, though it was still a few years, a few more destinations, and a couple more jobs before she had the idea that would become ONE MOMENT, her debut novel.

She currently splits her time between London, Bristol, and Falmouth and works as a freelance book publicist and editor alongside her own writing.
