Par šo audiogrāmatu

Learn about the many talents and achievements of Oscar Wilde—the playwright, novelist, critic, poet, and essayist.

Author Charles J. Finger is critical of Wilde as a novelist, claiming that only The Picture of Dorian Gray will be remembered in posterity. But he is effusive in his praise of Wilde as a playwright and essayist, and explores each creative aspect of this talented man’s endeavors.

Par autoru

Charles Joseph Finger (1869–1941) was a British-born American writer and an accomplished musician, teaching piano and directing orchestras. In 1925 he won the Newbery Medal for his book Tales from Silver Lands (1924). In 1930 he published an autobiography, Seven Horizons. His views on Oscar Wilde are interesting in that Finger himself was a bisexual who throughout his life helped to create communities of like-minded readers. In 1902, he married Eleanor Ferguson, with whom he had five children.

Gary MacFadden is a voice talent based in western Montana, USA. He works in commercial, e-learning, explainer videos, and audiobooks. Gary has narrated and produced over forty audiobooks, and has produced another dozen books for other narrators.
