Rogue Protector is the first book in the Gone Rogue Series, an amazing military romance. This Series is interconnected with the amazing Away From Keyboard Series. I was looking forward for Austin Pritchard's story, and his story exceeds my expectations. I loved to follow Austin and Mikayla (Mik) in their suspenseful journey. The storyline is fast paced, action packed, captivating, and filled with twists and turns. I loved to see again the characters from the Away From Keyboard Series. Now, I am looking forward to read the next book in the Series, Rogue Officer, Griff's story. Sebastian Yord and Lidia Dornet did an outstanding job with the narration! They are perfect as Austin and Mik. Patricia D. Eddy is one of my favorite authors. She NEVER disappoints. If you like military romance and romantic suspense, this one is definitely for you! I enjoyed it.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Intense! Patricia D. Eddy is a gifted author and a master at romantic suspense. I knew as soon as I started this book I was going to love it, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire book. This is the type of book once you start you can not stop because you need to know what happens next. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. The two lead characters are complex and it was great to get to know them better, it was easy to fall in love with both. Former Major General Austin Pritchard is struggling to adjust to civilian life, he served in the USAF for over two decades, lived and breathed missions most of that time. He decided he needed to fall off the grid and spend some time thinking about what is next or maybe to stop thinking about what was in his past, or at least come to grips with it. He chose to go to Mexico and hike the Maya trail. One night in the hotel bar he meets Mikayla “Mik” Salim, the two hit it off and start to get know each other. Mikayla, a doctor is on a research assignment studying an endangered orchid that grows up in the mountains. This rare orchid has medicinal qualities and may be ingredient needed to create a cure for Parkinson’s Disease. She is there with three of her graduate students. They were noticing inconsistencies on some of the plants and when Mik went back to check she ran into trouble. Austin was supposed to meet Mik that night but she was a no show, he then heard her team talking and knew she was in trouble and if anyone could help it was be him. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, action, twists and turns, betrayals, thrilling suspense, heartfelt and emotional moments and a great opposites attract romance. I thought these two were perfect together and or each other, they made a great team too. Patricia D. Eddy, thank you for this fantastic story, it took me to the edge of my seat at times and an emotional rollercoaster ride too, I love how you always find the perfect balance of romance and suspense in your books. 🎧📚🎧 I listened to the audiobook edition, Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet are fabulously talented narrators and voice artists. They bring these characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on, sounding just as I picture them to sound, capturing all of their emotions and projecting them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen.
