Proactive Communication

Your personal success is closely linked to your ability to communicate, create a good image and know how to make yourself liked. From the first words you say, to the tone and range of your voice, to the way you are dressed and the way you express yourself, it's all part of a whole. If you neglect one aspect then the whole will suffer. If your image is bad, then success will wait until you decide to correct your mistakes, make them right and communicate fairly and effectively with others.

We communicate through words, through para-verbal language and non-verbal language. Of course, these percentages differ from person to person but mainly there is a certain proportionality of these values. If the verbally communicated message is perceived at a conscious level, the other two forms of communication, non-verbal and para-verbal, are perceived at a subconscious level.

If you are called for an interview and you choose not to say anything about yourself, your qualities, your dreams and your goals, then you will not take that interview. To get the job you have to be different from the other candidates. At the level we are at now there is no more room for amateurs and amateurism, it's time for professionalism and that's why every piece of information that can help you be a true professional in your field is an asset to you.

We live in the age of communication and it is time to invest in other assets, in personal development. In assets that are portable, that we can take with us wherever we go and whatever we do. These assets are skills that make us special, they are the amount of investment we have made to change, to learn new things and to transform ourselves.

The time that passes will never return. If you understand this then you realise how important this limited resource is. Choose to invest time every day in your personal development. Your partners or competitors are already doing this with maximum seriousness. Think of life as a constant battle over resources and the chances you get are also limited. You communicate to sell your image. You may not be fully aware of it, but it happens. The image you export is the image that brings you more prestige, more confidence and more success. Be proactive and improve that image every day.
