Progeney

Progeny by Philip K. Dick is a short story about a man named Ed Doyle who returns to Earth after spending several years on a colony on Proxima Centauri. When he arrives, he is shocked to learn that his wife has given birth to a son, Peter, and that Peter has been raised by robots. Ed is determined to get to know his son, but he soon realizes that Peter is not like other children. He is cold and calculating, and he seems to have no emotions. Ed is forced to question everything he thought he knew
