À propos de ce livre audio

John Punter, professional gambler and amateur private investigator, has seen his fair share of crime and shady dealings, both on the race track and off it. So when the daughter of a bookmaker friend is abducted, following hot on the heels of a gruesome murder after an abduction-gone-wrong, Punter's offer of help is gladly accepted. But then, just when everything seems to be going right, a local trainer hits a run of unusual bad luck and a young jockey dies under suspicious circumstances. With the help of a journalist friend, Kate, Punter begins to put the pieces together, and finds himself drawn into a tangled web of underworld crimes that are much more sinister than he had anticipated...

À propos de l'auteur

Peter Klein writes with a rare passion and knowledge about the turf. That's not surprising, as he's spent a lifetime in horseracing, working for some of Australia's top trainers such as T.J. Smith and Bart Cummings, and was a one-time strapper of champion galloper Kingston Town. He now works in the media as Racing Manager of Australian Associated Press. Klein's racing autobiography, A Strapper's Tale, sold out in three months.

David has been narrating audiobooks for over 25 years, working on a number of award-winning titles. He has also worked extensively in theatre, radio, film and television, most notably appearing in all four seasons of The Secret Life of Us. When not lending his voice to books he is employed as an archivist, audio producer and librarian.
