I loved the first 4 books in this series, though by the fourth I was getting a little tired of the whole anti-feminist, damsel in distress moments happening over and over again without any true character growth. I can't tell that if the continuation of this series is a true labor of love from a lacking amatuer author or just a cash grab, if these books are even making any money. Anyway, I'm on book seven now, and I am still holding out for the moment that the female characters are finally the ones to be the badasses and save the day, but in truth I don't have much hope. The male love interests are are hot but dull and it seems that the author wants to keep the female characters in a constant state of helplessness, and that just isn't a plot device I can get behind as a woman. Thanks for making me feel like these strong women portrayed are only good for getting pregnant and landing in peril. edit:2 stars instead of 1 only because I am here trying to finish.
