This was an interesting listen. I loved how Mary strode through all the fairytales on her own terms. The best part was what she learned about herself as she went. Her growth brought me to tears by the end. The recap tale within the story was cute. Amy Rubinate did a great job bringing the story to life and keeping the voices quite separate. I recommend this story, whether book form or audio. I received this audio CD as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.

Fantasy writer Richard Roberts finds his inspiration in folk tales, fairy tales, and mythology. He is the author of Please Don't Tell My Parents I Blew Up the Moon, Wild Children, and Sweet Dreams Are Made of Teeth, among other novels.
Amy Rubinate has narrated over 140 audiobooks and has won multiple AudioFile Earphones Awards. She has a degree in oral interpretation of literature and has won national awards for poetry reading.
