About the author

Writer-broadcaster Richard Fidler is the author of the bestselling books The Golden Maze and Ghost Empire, and co-author of the bestselling Saga Land with Kári Gíslason. Fidler presents 'Conversations', an in-depth, up-close-and-personal interview program. 'Conversations' is broadcast across Australia on ABC Radio and podcast all over the world to millions of listeners.

Sarah Kanowski studied English at the University of Oxford, where she wrote a thesis on the Mosley family. Sarah then spent a year in South America before settling back in Australia. In Hobart she edited the literary magazine Island, until sun and grandparents beckoned her back to Brisbane where she now lives with her husband and three young children. She presented Books and Arts on ABC RN and looked after Conversations when Richard Fidler was away.

Former corporate lawyer, co-founder of a successful software company and technology investor, David Gillespie is the bestselling author of the Sweet Poison books, Big Fat Lies, Free Schools, Toxic Oil, Eat Real Food, The Eat Real Food Cookbook and Taming Toxic People. He lives in Brisbane with his wife and six children.

Meg Keneally started her working life as a junior public affairs officer at the Australian Consulate-General in New York, before moving to Dublin to work as a sub-editor and freelance features writer. On returning to Australia, she joined the Daily Telegraph as a general news reporter, covering everything from courts to crime to animals’ birthday parties at the zoo. She then joined Radio 2UE as a talkback radio producer. She lives in Sydney with her husband Craig and children Rory and Alex.
