About this audiobook

Dakota Jones had a difficult upbringing but he escaped to the military as soon as he could. Now, after several tours of duty he has finally been discharged. Refusing to return home he arrives in Sullivan's Crossing where his brother Cal and sister Sierra have found a home. There, Dakota will come to terms with his less-than-perfect family and will plant the roots he's never had.

A wonderful addition to this great series, in fact I think this was my favourite so far as we caught up with characters from previous books and there just seemed a lot more going on. The main characters in this book are Dakota and Sid. Sid works behind the bar in her brother's bar and Dakota is Cal and Sierra's brother (Cal - Book 1 / Sierra - Book 2). There is a lot more to Sid than meets the eye, as we find out as the book goes on. As with all Robyn Carr books there are two main characters, but we also hear plenty about previous characters, and new ones, who all live around The Crossing in this series. In fact there was quite a lot more in Sierra and Connie's story too. These books are more sagas about friends and family and not just a romance between two characters which really makes the story interesting. In this one we have a variety of events, including a new baby, an adoption, a stalker, mental health issues, and we hear more about Sedona (Cal, Sierra and Dakota's sister). I really hope this series continues as long as the Virgin River one, as I can't wait to go back and find out how everyone is getting on, along with any new characters to The Crossing. Just perfect!
