Feero paints quite a realistic world with characters equally likable and dislikable, which perhaps is what makes the novel so human. The plot centers around a man torn between conformist responsibilities and a need to unleash his dormant soul. He is not to be pitied however as he is receive more than one reawakening. I urge you to read the novel to experience the awakening yourself. Highly recommended for lovers of art, grunge, New York City, and beauty for beauty’s sake.
