Previously titled: Secrets in Oak Creek

This unsolved mystery might lead to happily ever after…or a very literal dead end…

Before inheriting her aunt’s house (and giant dog), Emily would’ve said nothing crazy ever happened in small towns. It takes being intentionally run off the road to realizing just how wrong she’d been. If not for the kind—and dangerously sexy—good Samaritan who came to her aid, she wasn’t sure what would’ve happened. Now all she has to do is figure out who might want her dead—and why.

As a fashion photographer, Ryan doesn’t get too many opportunities to rescue damsels in distress. But meeting Emily is the best thing that’s happened to him in a long time. So, he’ll help figure out who wants to harm this amazing woman. He’ll just have to make sure he can help her without dragging her into his own messy personal issues…

There’s a dark side to idyllic Oak Creek. Secrets long buried are about to surface, and danger is closer than anyone realized. In fact, if they aren’t careful, Emily and Ryan could lose a lot more than their hearts in this investigation…

作者简介

B.K. Stubblefield writes about flawed men and the women who love them. She is passionate about dogs and dog rescue, and to no surprise, her Oak Creek series is set in the world of dog rescue.

Born and raised in Frankfurt, Germany, she met her own handsome and flawed hero over forty years ago when the US Military sent him to her. Supporting his military career, she happily moved between Europe and the United States for many years. Now she makes her home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, where she draws inspiration for her Oak Creek series from the slower pace of small-town living. Among her favorite things to start her day is spending time with her fur baby, Dakota.
