About this audiobook

“The best feel-good romcom you need right now.”

A mistaken arrest, an unpaid debt, and a trip to Vegas.

Living in a small town where everyone knows your business isn’t easy. But when your dad is the business everyone talks about, it’s even harder.

When Willa Montgomery becomes collateral to pay off her dad’s debt to local playboy Jameson Drake, she realizes things can always get worse.

Forced to work for Jameson, she soon realizes there is more to him than meets the eye. Behind the delectable wrapping and gruff demeanor is a good guy who’s ready to help whenever Willa needs him. And the way he looks at her makes her think that the rumors are wrong. Because just maybe he doesn’t hate her as much as she thought.

But has the former player really changed, or is he just warming up for his big game?

This is the first book in the Sweet Dreams series and can be read as a standalone.

Note from the author: In order not to get kicked out of the good (okay goodish.... fine, sometimes good) girls club, I’d like to point out that this is a steamy romcom and my characters use bad language (sometimes) and like to get it on. There’s no cheating and all my books have a HEA.

What a delightful enemies to so much more story. It is a fun story about Willa and Jameson. Jameson is insistent that she work off her father's debt to him. Willa is fun and cannot keep herself out funny incidents. Jameson is broody and moody. This is a fun romantic read and the narrator did a really good job on the audio version I listened to as well.

3 star review Some Call It Love (Sweet Dreams #1) by Sarah Peis AUDIO REVIEW: Sarah Peis is a new author to me. I’m in two minds with this book. There were parts that I really enjoyed and others I found hard to read. My heart broke for Willa and the circumstances she finds herself in through no fault of her own. Her father is a real piece of work and although I felt sorry for him there were times I really disliked him. I’m also in two minds about Jameson Drake, he obviously had feelings for Willa but the way he expressed them is what I question. When Jameson calls in her father’s debt by insisting Willa work the debt off at the garage I wasn’t overly impressed with his behaviour. I had a hard time understanding how Willa could let Jameson walk all over her, I know she had a crush on him but she let him get away with atrocious behaviour at times which frustrated me a great deal. It is obvious that there is an attraction that sizzles between Jameson and Willa but I cannot help but question the foundation it was built on. The narration was very good, pleasant, easy to listen to with characters that I admit I had a hard time relating to.

This was my first Sarah Peis's book. This is the first book in the Sweet Dreams Series, a Romantic Comedy. I like the cover. I loved Willa and Jameson's story. They are both great characters. I loved to follow them in their journey to love. The story is sweet, funny., and heartwarming. I enjoyed it. Ava Erickson did an amazing job with the narration. She definitely is one of my favorite narrators. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the Series. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily written this review.
