When Eleana Castillo arrives in Las Flores from Mexico to work and meet her brother Carlos, who is already working there, her troubles begin. Carlos has disappeared without a trace and Carlotta, her sister-in-law who is with child, is missing from her home in Mexico. Oliver Avery, a handsome artist who teaches at the local college, sees Eleana search for Carlos at the town mall. He falls in love with her beautiful, sad and questing Spanish Eyes. Eleana has no choice but to walk a dangerous tightrope of fear and deception between her family, the authorities, and her love for Oliver. When Eleana hears from Carlotta, who is indeed in the country illegally, she visits her sister-in-law but cannot explain her absences to Oliver. Oliver suspects the worst; Eleana is worried about Carlotta and Carlos; and Luke's case on the disappearances is going nowhere. When the nephew of one of Luke's officers joins the missing, Luke sends the officer joins the missing, Luke sends the officer undercover on the best lead he has to gather evidence, and schedules a bust in two weeks. The romance and suspense in Spanish Eyes will keep you turning pages right up to the action-packed climax.
