Space stations, scattered throughout the cosmos are peopled with scientists and engineers. Cargo shuttles that leave Earth’s gravity on their own power, deliver supplies on a regular schedule. Ground cars run on electric highways. Telephone poles with miles of wire are only seen in history books. Electrical energy supplies the world’s needs from satellites.
