It powers our vision of what roles we must play in bringing about a desired goal, and it amplifies our efforts. We cannot surrender to luck, and we must not surrender to a blind faith that things will just get better. #4 Freedom is not only the absence of oppression, but also the presence of justice and joy. We are trying to create something new, and it is impossible to create something new in the absence of hope.
