The Past Rekindled

I’m Terra McGinley…technical writer and tran’zr (short for transitioner to the afterlife). Tran’zing is just a part-time gig, which is good, because the pay is non-existent, the hours are horrible, and my tall, dark and new partner is completely annoying. While he’s checking the rule books and noting every little infraction, I’m helping people move on—even if it means bending those rules a bit.

In the real world, my mother—who is just dying for me to get married so she can have grandkids—has volunteered my writing services for an arts benefit. Unfortunately, now I’m stuck working with my high school crush. This is the same guy who stomped all over my heart back then, and is trying to do the same thing again now.

As she and her tran’zing partner strive to help one of their charges, Death tries to steal Terra away. While struggling to save her soul and her heart, she must decide who she can trust – past love or new partner?
