Before becoming a bestselling author, Ben Aaronovitch was a screenwriter for Doctor Who and a bookseller at Waterstones. He now writes full time, and every book in his Rivers of London series has been a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller. He is published in 14 languages and has sold more than 2 million copies around the world. Aaronovitch is also a trustee on the board of Cityread London and is a long-time supporter of Nigeria's premiere arts and cultural festival, The Aké Festival. He still lives in London, the city he likes to refer to as 'the capital of the world'.

Kobna Holdbrook-Smith is a film, television, theatre and voice actor. During his career he has voiced many books including all of Ben Aaronovitch's best-selling Nightingale and Grant series, many BBC and independent radio plays and one or two lifts. On stage he has played leads at the National, Royal Court, Young Vic, Royal Exchange and Tricycle theatres and most recently was Ike turner in the original West End production of Tina Turner the Musical and Laertes in Hamlet at the Barbican Theatre, opposite Benedict Cumberbatch. Films include: Mary Poppins Returns, Dr. Strange, Justice League, Paddington 2, The Commuter, Ghost Stories, Gwen and The Double. TV includes: The Split, Dark Heart, Class, Capital, The Last Panthers, Sirens and Little Britain. Kobna is also a trustee of the children's education charity Dramatic Need, and an associate director of the National Theatre.

As an award winning audiobook narrator, Penelope has voiced over 200 audiobooks and was nominated by Audible for Narrator of the Year. Sam Peter Jackson is an actor, playwright and filmmaker. As an actor he most notably appeared in the BAFTA-winning Nuremberg and the BBC's D-Day. He is very established in the world of voice overs and has lent his voice to many high-profile documentaries, commercials, audio plays and video games, as well as TV shows and films, such as Wonder Woman, Bohemian Rhapsody and The Crown. As a playwright, his play Public Property ran at Trafalgar Studios in London's West End and earned him a 2010 WhatsOnStage Award nomination for Best New Comedy. Sam has written and directed six short films, which have won awards, sold for broadcast and distribution, as well as screened at BAFTA, the BFI and festivals worldwide. His latest film Clothes & Blow was nominated for the 2018 Iris Prize - Best British Short and recently won Best Comedy at the 2019 Beeston Film Festival. Sam is natively bilingual and works in both English and German.
