Robyn Ayres works as the camp caretaker on Finch Island, a former leper colony off the coast of Queensland. Her current clients are a group of ex-military men who run a tough-love program for troubled teens. The latest crop looks like the usual mix of bad boys and sad boys. Then Robyn takes a second look at a kid called Darren. Last time she saw him his name was Aaron, and Robyn was his primary school teacher. And she was somehow at the centre of a vicious small-town custody battle involving his terrifying grandmother. Bruising classroom dynamics, manipulative parents and carers and horrendous small-town politics form the backdrop to a nail-biting thriller in which the tensions of ten years ago start to play themselves out, building to a violent climax in the present day. 作者简介

Catherine Jinks is the Australian author of many award-winning and internationally recognised books for adults, young adults and kids, written in a wide range of genres. Her body of writing encompasses more than 30 titles and she has garnered many awards, including the CBCA Book of the Year Award, the Aurealis Award for Science Fiction and the Davitt Award for Crime Fiction. She has been writing books since she was eight years old – and doesn't expect to stop writing them anytime soon.

Abbe is one of Australia's most recognised mainstream voice actors, known for her versatility and character ability. She’s been a voiceover technique coach and demo producer for over 15 years, teaching the mastery of voiceover for both commercial and non-commercial work, character voices and audiobook narration. Abbe’s a proud member of the Equity Section of the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) where she has a position on the MEAA board. She has also worked on screen, producing and performing in two short films.
