A United States journalist and writer, Bruce Catton (1899-1978) was one of America's most popular Civil War historians. He worked as a newspaperman and also held a position at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Catton's bestselling book, A Stillness at Appomattox, earned him a Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award in 1954.

Eric Martin, the narrator of close to 100 audiobooks, is an AudioFile Earphones Award winner and Audie Award finalist. He has written and directed original comedy programming for Audible Channels and for the Howl network, including the series Brief Interviews with Hideous Monsters.
