Finn has cystic fibrosis, so has always known his life could be drastically shortened. With that knowledge he has decided he will never marry and run the risk of leaving a young widow behind. Laurie has worked with a child with cystic fibrosis and isn't scared. When circumstances force them together all they do is fight. But the attraction is there. Perhaps a health scare and a casual conversation may get them reevaluating how they’ve looked at life.
