Stolen by a Gardener's Assistant, Buck, a St-Bernard cross, is taken from his comfortable life in the south and sold as a sled dog at the height of the Klondike gold rush. Thrust into the savage world of the frozen north, Buck must reconnect with his old ancestry to survive in this forbidding environment.

Written by Jack London who spent a year himself in the Yukon, The Call of the Wild has never been out of print since it's initial release in 1903.
