The Evil Elves

The story was well suited for children. I can't say it was incredibly interesting, but I guess it follows the guidelines for children to the T. Stories like this were why I struggled to learn to read as a child. My mind was better developed than my classmates at understanding plots, and the mundane plots like this that didn't twist bored me. I couldn't connect with the characters, and they seemed fake. It was only when an instructor read Tuck Everlasting to the class that I actually decided that reading could be fun. After that, it was straight to Goosebumps, horror, and The Hobbit. I read Lord of the Rings (listed as a college bound book) well before it was my reading level. I became an insatiable book worm. I can't give that credit to this story, though. It's too bland.
