Holly and Declan became friends when they 14, were high school sweethearts and lived together during college until they were 23. A misunderstanding causes Declan to jump to a conclusion and he breaks things off before finding out what really happened. Holly was devastated and has moved on with her life alone at least until he became her neighbor. For the past two years Declan has realized what he lost when he ended things with Holly and is willing to do whatever is necessary to win her back. Holly is not easily convinced as she has since the steady stream of girls go through his front door and is not eager to re-experience the heartbreak that she felt two years ago. As Declan pulls out all the stops to get her to realize that he has changed will she be able to open up her heart and trust him again? I loved the banter between Declan, Holly and their two best friends. I thought the narrators did a great job of bringing the emotion of the story to life both in the flashback and the present.
