Arturo Hernandez-Sametier writes about his two passions, music and the education of alienated and troubled youth. Raised in East Los Angeles and a professional musician, Hernandez-Sametier has also been a teacher and principal in some of the most difficult school environments across the U.S. and Indian Country.
