EVERY LOVE STORY HAS A BEGINNING...

11th September 2001. Lucy and Gabe meet in New York on a day that will change their lives – and the world – forever. As the city burns behind them, they kiss for the very first time.

Over the next thirteen years they are torn apart, then brought back together, time and time again. It’s a journey of dreams, of desires, of jealousy, of forgiveness – and above all, love.

And as Lucy is faced with a devastating choice, she wonders whether their love is a matter of destiny or chance.

...WHAT IF THIS IS HOW THEIR STORY ENDS?

This devastatingly romantic novel about the enduring power of love, with its shocking, unforgettable ending, is perfect for fans of One Day and Talking at Night.

This book was LXXX (!!) of chapters of irritating. The writing is mediocre and the persistent use of "you said", "I said", "he said", "she said" was extremely irritating! The storyline had potential and the writer tries to pull you in through the nostalgia of first love but the execution was manipulative, terrible and predictable. The characters lacked descriptive depth nor had any uniqueness and so I found it hard to believe in any of their connections. Lucy the protagonist is a selfish one and throughout seems desperate for validation and given the ending this somewhat makes sense. It was written for the ending, but still I'm not convinced and was not taken on the journey. Although, maybe with the right screen play adaptation, cast and movie magic it could be a semi decent mainstream watch. I went with the audiobook, the writer narrated the book, her tone was unnatural and also irritating but still wanted to give this book a chance but in the end I just wanted the book to end.
