About the author

Jaci Byrne is the granddaughter of The Music Maker, the late Drum Major Henry Barnes Jackson. A full-time writer, Jaci has published four novels and a series of children’s books. The Music Maker is her first work of non-fiction. She lives in Avalon Beach, Sydney.

Toby Stephens is an English actor who has starred in many film, television and theatre productions. He has played John Robinson in Lost in Space (2018–2019), Captain Flint in Black Sails (2014–2017), Mr Rochester in Jane Eyre (2006), Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby (2000) and was even a Bond villain in Die Another Day (2002).
