In this memoir, Baker tells how the pain she endured was intended to help her grow and to learn to make wiser decisions from her bad examples.

Dolly Baker was born in Queens, New York. She was later relocated to South Hill, Virginia, in August of 1995, through the foster care system. As a single mother of three, Baker strives to influence others by her life story and her journey to self-love.
