Kate Webster is a loveable larrikin who likes to play hard now and worry about the consequences later. She can't help mucking up the opportunities life gives her. Rachael Treasure lives on a sheep farm in Tasmania with her husband, John, and her children, Rosie and Charlie. Together they breed and train kelpies, border collies and Waler stockhorses.

Miranda Nation is an award-winning filmmaker. Originally training as an actor, Miranda shifted her focus to writing and directing, with a strong interest in social justice and a desire to create complex contemporary roles for women.
