The Trouble With #9

This is the second book in the Hockey Hotties Series, a Sports Romance. Maksim and Paisley's story is sweet, emotional, sexy, and funny. They are both great characters. Maksim is handsome! Paisley is beautiful, smart, supportive, and caring. The supporting characters are amazing. I love the friendship in this series. Tim Paige and Meg Sylvan did a great job with the narration. Meg Sylvan definitely is one of my favorite female narrators. She has such a beautiful voice! Looking forward to listening to Ford and Lena's story in Faking It with #41, the next book in the Series. I love this Series!

Piper Rayne is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. I adored this story. The chemistry between Maksim and Paisley was through the roof hot! Maksim has some anger issues going on and is struggling with it when he’s in the rink. Paisley is the team therapist and has been assigned the task of meeting with all the players at least 3 times. Maksim is adamant that he doesn’t need to see a therapist. It’s a battle of the wills. These two aren’t just battling their wits, oh no, these two are fighting the battle of falling into bed together… ok Paisley is fighting it. Maksim is determined to get Paisley between the sheets. I just couldn’t get enough of the banter and fun between these two. They are both two strong-willed people. Maksim is super protective and loves with all his big ol heart. He has some tenderness hiding under that aggression. Watch out for it… he’ll take your heart. Paisley is a strong woman. She’s a bit of an introvert. She follows the rules and has a soft and sweet heart. She enjoys her independence and struggles with trust. Together, these two are sweeter than I expected. The narration by Tim Paige and Meg Sylvan were amazing. Tim had a perfect Russian accent for Maksim. I’d imagine it’s hard to pull off but he did. Meg also captured her character flawlessly. So good.
